Did you know WordPress can keep a list of all your favorite plugins? As you know plugins allow you to add many new features to your WordPress site so why not make it easier? Next time you are working on a client’s site and need to install some plugins I recommend using this method (updated in 2020). It’ll make your WordPress plugins installation process faster and easier.
First, you’ll need to create a free account in with WordPress.org by going to https://wordpress.org/plugins (if you already have one then great, you can skip to the next step).
Once there simply create a new account by clicking the register button. You will be directed to the registration screen where you’ll fill out all the needed information.
Once you hit Register, you’ll be sent an email containing your registration information along with a new password. Now you are ready to start collecting your favorite and most used plugins.
You can now search for your favorite plugins the way you always do, the important thing is to click “Favorite” as you go along. You can edit this list at any time by selecting to My Favorites tab.
Now the fun part. No need to write down on a piece of paper all the plugins name, authors and versions to install on a client’s site, you can easily access it within the dashboard.
Follow your normal installation steps and instead of searching for the plugins, you can just select the Favorites tab, enter your username, get favorites and voila!!!
All the plugins you love are right there in front of you waiting to be installed.
Depending on the amount of plugins you favorite, it might take a long time to initially set it up however it will make your plugin installation process a lot easier and no more guessing which is the right plugin.
So did you know about this? Did you learn something new? I’d love to hear about it in the comments!
